Offered here is an extremely rare noseguard with a detachable mouth guard present. The noseguard carried two Patent dates. The original 1891 J.F. Morrills patent and a second of 1905 which refers to the detachable mouthpiece. This antique football relic remains in exceptional condition. Most didn't’t survive and those that did were often missing the mouth guard, or it was fixed and could not be taken in and out. This example allows for that, carries bold patent dates and is complete with the original strap. A true rarity among antique football equipment.
