The offered item is a very rare and unusual vintage baseball collectible. This Boston Red Sox figure is not exactly a Rittgers figure. At least it is not marked on the side of the foot in the usual manner. The figure is slightly larger than the identical version of the Rittgers figure. It is also on a base and made of a material much like pottery. Similar to Stanford Pottery. Interestingly it was Joe Cronin who wore the number 4 during this time for the Boston Red Sox. The perfect item for the Boston Red Sox fan who has it all. The figure is more "white" and better looking in person. The condition is VG-EX.
