The offered item is a vintage baseball bat dating from the early 1900's. A circa 1905 Ball Balance Baseball Bat from Louisville Slugger. This exceptional bat comes from Louisville Slugger with typical Louisville "side writing" and vault marks on the ends of both the barrel and the knob. The unusual knob is essentially flawless and unique in design. It has amazing eye appeal. Measuring 35 inches long, it is very long for this style of bat. Vintage bats with the various styles of knobs found on ball balance bats and mushroom bats, were designed to counterbalance the swing, so they were typically of shorter lengths. A gorgeous example from this era that remains in beautiful EX-MT condition!
