Product Details
This is an Early 1900’s Baseball Chest Protector manufactured by the GoldSmith sporting goods company out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Among the first styles of chest protection, this is known as a very scarce "apron-style" chest protector. It just hung from the neck, like an apron. Very similar in style to the quilted baseball chest protector but this one has rigid slats in combination with quilting. It is identified with the GoldSmith logo stenciled onto the front. Just a super rare chest protector in wonderful EX-MT condition. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
