Product Details
This is an Early 1900’s Birdcage-Style Catcher’s Mask made by the Wright and Ditson sporting goods company. Among the first styles of face protection, this is known as a "birdcage" style mask because it is made of wire that is held together only by bends and clips, predating those with welds or soldering. All of the original strapping is intact as well as the W&D cloth patch! The quality is exceptional and it remains in wonderful EX-MT condition. This fine vintage catcher's mask will make for an impressive display among your antique baseball collection! Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
