Offered here is an Extremely Rare 1936 Spalding “Ghost Ball” Model J5-V Football. The above image showing the ad for this football was taken from a 1936 Spalding Fall - Winter Sporting Goods Catalog. This is the first Spalding "Ghost Ball" that we have encountered. The Ghost ball was also offered in 1937, 1938 and 1939. The Spalding logo and model number are light but very desirable. The leather is soft and supple and the ball holds air. A great opportunity to add a true rarity to your vintage football collection!
